We will pick up your placenta from you, whether that’s at a Portland area hospital, birth center, or your home. Once we have finished preparing all of your placenta remedies, we will drop everything back off to you.

Processing your placenta into the various preparations offered takes approximately two days. We use the Traditional Chinese Medicine way of processing the placenta in which the placenta is steamed over lemon and ginger prior to dehydrating it. During the first day, we make an art print of the placenta and the tincture, clean and drain the placenta, steam it over lemon and ginger (the tea is made from this part of the process). Next, we slice it, and put it into the dehydrator along with the umbilical cord which is shaped into a keepsake for you. The placenta and cord keepsake dehydrate for approximately 24 hours. Once dried, we grind the pieces of placenta into a powder, fill each capsule by hand, and infuse a healing salve with a pinch of the powder.
